Do you get better data with blood samples, compared to saliva/swabs?

The accuracy of genotype data obtained from buccal swabs is on par with that of blood samples. Mapmygenome has standardized effective protocols for DNA processing from buccal swabs as well as blood.

How do you do the analysis?

We screen your genetic data for the presence of “markers” in your DNA – which are single-letter variations – to calculate your lifestyle disease risk, predisposition to traits, affects of medicine, etc.

Does Mapmygenome follow data privacy rules?

Yes, absolutely! Every sample registered at Mapmygenome is deidentified with personal information, before being sent to the lab. We use a secure LIMS for lab processing, data analysis and report generation

Are your products patented or FDA approved?

We use the services that hold several patents in this space. The lab is already ISO MC-3822 and NABL MC-2316 certified. We also have CE-certified products from our lab.

What if I do not want to share my data? What data protection rights do I have?
